In the last 11 years, we have funded a number of nonprofit projects in
Nature conservation – Monument conservation – General social work
In this process there was performed some projects but especially partner organizations were funded financially. We see our mission in the special careful selection of our partners, so that the used resources have the highest effect as possible.
Our foundation have a capital stock of EUR 1,350,000 till 12/31/2016.
The capital of the foundation is invested very carefully. There was no asset erosion in the last 11 years.
Following projects are note exemplary:
Nature conservation:
Area protection by buying in Lower Saxony and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
Normally, owner of the acquired areas is not the ISO-ELEKTRA foundation but partners from the field of nature conservation or organic farming.
Nature conservation measures in Germany:
- Area protection in Northern Germany by buying
- Biotope protection by leasing of areas and grounds of flower meadows on arable lands
- Preservation of an orchard meadow at the border of Elze (1.5 ha)
- Lending to a Demeter farm for buying arable land (around 30 ha)
Nature conservation measures outside of Germany:
- Protection of brown bears and wolfs in Slovakia
- Activities of tree planting in Western Tanzania
- Protection of the Serengeti by anti-poacher-schooling
- Preservation of knowledge on medical plants in Ecuador
Projects of monument conservation:
- Restoration of a winged altar in Saxony-Anhalt
- Restoration of a graveyard wall
- Outside lighting of a church spire
- Outside of Germany: Restoration of the church of Pasym (Poland, oldest Protestant church in Masuria)
Social projects:
In Germany:
- Funding of a restaurant in Hildesheim for economically disadvantaged people (young people and adults)
- Funding of the “Tafel” in different cities
- Funding of children with social weak conditions at their school enrollment (basic equipment)
- Sponsorship of healthy nutrition for primary-school pupils “Bio-Brotbox”
- Furnishing of a youth room
- Purchasing of teaching materials for young people in church
- Purchasing of a kitchenette in church
- Help in need for flood damaged people
- Help in need for people in life crises
Outside of Germany:
- Funding of a Children’s Village in the Dominican Republic
- Acquisition of the partial costs for the purchasing of a minibus in Chile for the transport of pupils
- Funding of an institution for young and disabled people in Mangalore / Southern Indian
- Funding of an girl’s home in Thane / Mumbai
- Funding of a children’s home with farming in Pokhara / Nepal
- Funding of institution for children and adults in the near of Bangalore / Southern Indian
- Funding of the building of better stoves for heating and cooking in Indian and Nepal (2 partners)
- Sponsorship of education and health of underprivileged people Bangladesh
- Help in need in Bangladesh (flood)
- Help for earthquake victims in Nepal
